There are some simply stunning bathroom designs available these days. The bathroom has become a room with a statement in modern times.
If you are looking to renovate or simply design a new bathroom, there is so much to choose from. For instance, basins come in so many different shapes and sizes and you can have his and hers if you desire. And Cabinets or vanity units are now a splendid piece of furniture and the tiles you have to choose from are endless.
You can spend as much or as little as you desire and with even minor changes you will end up with stylish bathroom. All it takes is a little imagination and some homework. Take the time to look around and look at the bathrooms that are on display in most bathroom showrooms – and even online where you will pick up some helpful and informative ideas to help you make the most of your bathroom.
If you have a small area, it is a good choice to make use of mirrors and clear shower screens. These will create an optical illusion that the room is much bigger than it really is. Use of lighter colors will also make the room appear larger.
You bathroom floor should be carefully considered. If you have dark hair and choose a white tiled floor, be prepared to be constantly cleaning up hair. Perhaps choose a patterned floor will be more serviceable instead. If you want a bold design it may be better to choose the floor to go wild on instead of the walls. Natural stone or slate looks fabulous in bathrooms and can hide a lot of the mess that we can’t avoid in this area.
The majority of tap ware these days comes in chrome, which looks sensational although there are a multitude of classy and elegant looking styles available. Choose wisely as these will have to last for some time and are can be quite expensive to replace.
Do you need a bath? Baths can take up a lot of space, however if you enjoy a good soak or have children then it will be necessary. If you spend a lot of time in the bath tub, why not choose a spa bath. How luxuriously decadent, you’ll never want to get out. Spa baths come in many shapes and sizes. You can get them in the standard bath shape or huge big Jacuzzi tubs which look so inviting.
If you are unsure where to start, peruse some of the bathroom displays at your local tile retailers for great ideas. Magazines are a great source of inspiration and of course don’t forget to search online where the choices are limitless and the information available is abundant.
